Memento Mori Eyewear

During a trip to Paris, I stepped into the dark catacombs underneath the City of Lights. Looking at the skulls of the departed I was surprised to not find sadness, but inspiration. Each skull was different, shaped unlike any other skull. Although they shared death in common, they stood out from one another starkly and completely. This inspired me to create a series of drawings, sculptures and eyewear based on my trip to the catacombs.
